Nicol Law recognizes its actions and decisions impact the environment. As legal professionals and members of the Skagit Valley community it is our policy to pursue and select, when possible and appropriate, green alternatives in our practices and the products we use in order to preserve ecosystems and natural resources for future generations.
Our firm has taken the following measures towards creating an environmentally friendly and sustainable practice.
To achieve energy efficiency, we are conscientious when using our lights and our heating and cooling systems. We look for and purchase EPA ENERGY STAR products and light bulbs when possible.
Waste Reduction and Recycling.
The firm abides by a comprehensive recycling plan that involves recycling used office materials, paper, packaging, cans, and plastic bottles while taking care to protect our client’s privacy by shredding all document waste prior to recycling.
Post consumer waste and recycled material content is a decision factor in Nicol Law’s purchasing. We also look for non-toxic, bio-degradable, and ENERGY STAR products.
To prevent pollution, Nicol Law focuses on conservation – a practice that includes reducing waste, recycling, and reusing products. Most of our firm’s cleaning products, toners, and ink are non-toxic, and our focus on technology has allowed for reduced consumption.
