Steve Nicol spent ten years in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a war veteran with a Marine Corp Expeditionary Medal and many other decorations. He is a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and the Marine Corps League.
Steve obtained his Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University in Ames, IA, and his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, KS. During law school he was published on a number of occasions, worked as an editor on the ABA Law Review, and received the university’s highest award for client representation and advocacy. Upon graduation, he moved to Mount Vernon to practice law, drawn by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and Skagit Valley.
Over the years, Steve has primarily focused on land law, estate planning, estate settlement and probate, construction and real estate law, business formation and dissolution, corporation and LLC law, and personal injury.
Nicol Law was founded from Steve’s desire to operate a firm dedicated to integrity, efficiency, and promoting meaningful communication with his clients.
